Whitney Houston: "I Wanna Dance With Somebody Movie Story:

In New Jersey in 1983, Whitney Houston sings as a part of a church choir, led by her mom Cissy, an expert singer. Whitney is pushed to be better by Cissy, who can be harsh at times. Houston finds solace in a friendship with Robyn Crawford, which turns romantic, and the two end up moving in together, much to the chagrin of her non-secular mother. Cissy is about to perform one night when she notices manufacturer Clive Davis from the audience. She feigns infection and encourages Whitney to open the display in her place, making the song "The Greatest Love of All." This impresses Davis, who reports Whitney to a record deal at Arista and books her first predominant overall performance on The Merv Griffin Show, singing the song "Home."

As Whitney’s profession takes to the air and she or he begins to evolve her label, Nippy Inc., she runs it past her overbearing father and self-appointed supervisor John. When Whitney tries to make Robyn her assistant, John gets jealous due of their dating and tells them to go on dates with men, which Robyn refuses to do. Houston facts "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful" with Jermaine Jackson, whom she finally ends up drowsing with. This information irritates a jealous Robyn, and their romantic relationship quickly turns into a close friendship. Singles like "How Will I Know" and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" make Whitney a worldwide crossover celebrity and attractive to all demographics. However, she faces complaints for promoting herself and now no longer sounds "black enough." At the 1988 Soul Train Music Awards, Whitney was met with protesters on the crimson carpet and booed while Anita Baker broadcasted her as one of the nominees for best music video. However, R&B singer Bobby Brown comforts her, and the two start dating. Bobby ultimately proposes to her, however, and informs her that he has gotten a former female friend pregnant. Enraged, Whitney storms out of their limo into a hectic street. Bobby consoles her, and they soon reconcile. In 1991, Whitney plays the National Anthem on the twenty-fifth Super Bowl, incomes a splendid reception.

Whitney develops a hobby in acting, suspending her wedding ceremony with Bobby to become a mega-celebrity in The Bodyguard. During filming, she suffers a miscarriage, but returns to the task and records Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" for the movie's soundtrack. She later marries Bobby and, within the following year, offers delivery to their daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. In 1994, Whitney plays at a live performance for Nelson Mandela's release from jail and is going on an excursion. Whitney, who is exhausted from performing, needs to return home to be with her family. She returns home to find her mattress empty and her credit card missing. She has a near-bodily argument with Bobby when he comes home in the morning, which results in her throwing him out of the house and taking pills to cope.

In 1998, Clive meets Whitney, who hasn't released an album in nearly eight years, even though she has released seven hit singles and starred in three films. Unhappy with Bobby, she decides to report "Why Does It Hurt So Bad," even though she has previously rejected it because she no longer connects with the song's message. Additionally, after a war of words with John about spending an excessive amount of her cash on highly-priced gifts, she learns that he's negotiating a brand new deal with Arista Records.

She goes to Clive's resort room to sleep and asks him to reveal her new songs to report. Whitney releases a new album and goes on tour after finding one she likes. The excursion is exhausting, and Whitney's intellectual and bodily fitness starts to decline. She succumbs to addiction, which affects her voice, and her turbulent relationship with Bobby is all over the news and tabloids. During a visit with Clive, he urges her to go into rehab, but she refuses. Near the excursion's end, Robyn fights with Bobby and tries to get Whitney to go back home. Whitney ultimately decides to keep the excursion, and Robyn abandons Nippy Inc. and Whitney but informs her that John is in the hospital.

Whitney pays a visit to her father in the hospital, but it ends bitterly when she claims she owes him $100 million. She well-known demonstrates that she has replaced him as a supervisor with her sister-in-law Pat and eventually cuts ties with him, no longer attending his funeral. Cissy reveals Whitney in a drug-precipitated haze and requires the police to take her to rehab. She will eventually get sober, reconnect with her daughter, and divorce Bobby.

She tries a comeback with a brand new album, and through performing "I Didn't Know My Strength", in 2009, on The Oprah Winfrey Show, that's met with a standing ovation. After the display, Clive visits her, and he or she tells him that she is interested in travelling again, however, he advises her to relax. Nevertheless, Whitney is going on tour, but it finally ends up being a catastrophe as fans in Europe walk out of her shows and call for refunds, because of the singer's failing voice and degree of overall performance.

Houston arrives in Los Angeles in February 2012 to perform "Home" at a pre-Grammy ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. Her bassist Rickey advises her to focus on the overall performance and relaxation; however, she, optimistically, refuses. At the resort, she and Bobbi Kristina are getting ready for tomorrow's ceremony, while she is going to the foyer to fulfil her obligations along with her drug dealer. She walks into a bar and meets Stephen, a bartender and long-time fan, and the two reminisce about her overall performance at the 1994 American Music Awards. Later, on her own in her bathroom, Whitney, crying, begins a bath, quietly sings "Home" to herself, and appears lower back, at the highlights of her existence and profession. The movie ends with Whitney performing at the aforementioned American Music Awards, making a medley of "I Loves You, Porgy," "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," and "I Have Nothing", that's met with a standing ovation.
